I am a consultant.  I am on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Every day the decisions I make can effect wether or not people live or die, eat or starve, laugh or cry.  I am a stay-at-home mom.  Mother of two amazing little girls.  Morgan (4) and Emily (2).

This is a blog for my kids and yours.  I am going to use this page to document my daily mama-drama.  Each post will become my baby book that one day I will pass down to my girls.  People always tell me I should be writing down the things my girls say and do because they are hysterical.  Who actually has time to do that? Wait, better question, who has time to find the baby book?  Even if I did I am sure the amount of dust it is covered in would send me straight into an asthma attack!

This blog began as one letter to Morgan. I felt I needed to put in writing why we were giving her “the gift of time” and keeping her in preschool instead of sending her to kindergarten. After I wrote that letter I decided I would love to write more.  Some posts will be in letter form while others will be anecdotal.

My goal is not only to document my girls lives but also to gain advice when the hard questions are asked.  To laugh when all I want to do is cry.  To learn to remember all these precious days are a gift and they will not last forever.

I typically post four times a week.  I encourage you to subscribe via RSS or email.  You definitely do not have to be in the same life stage as me to post comments.  In fact, the more diverse a group we get chatting the better chances our kids have!

Most of all, thank you for being a lovely writer whom I admire! I have two girls ages 4 and 2 as well, and I too wrote a post about giving our four-year-old-with-a-summer-birthday the gift of another year. Kinda fun to read your take on things around parenthoodland. Thanks!

Thanks for following my blog! I really love the idea of yours. I don’t have any children of my own, but I’ve got 9 nieces and nephews and a tenth on the way (another niece any day now 🙂 ) I haven’t read much on here yet, but it’s great!

Thanks for subscribing! Scanning your posts–well written, funny, and HONEST! Most of my parenting stuff is not funny–it’s about the real problems parents have. Soon I will post “My Parenting Testimony”–pretty much the story of why and how I did it wrong and how God has shown us how to do it right (he created parents, kids, and marriage, so he should know something about parenting!). Keep an eye out. Also, on my Resources tab is a list of great books for families–on parenting, marriage, and others. I pray that my writing is not actually my views and my opinions, but is as biblical as my own knowledge and understanding allows.

Thanks for choosing to follow my blog! I just read your post about Things You Should Never Say. I laughed out loud, trying to picture the exact scenarios that might have necessitated such utterances. Then I had my husband come and read it. (I didn’t want to read it out loud since my kids are in the room, and they certainly don’t need any more fabulous ideas!)

For an amazing mother who documents her “mama drama” (as you have called it), to follow my blog is really an honor. Hope we can share things together and learn from each other as you try to raise 2 lovely girls in the most wonderful way and as I try to do my part as well as a mother of my one and only son

What a wonderful blog! Your girls are beautiful!
W at a fantastic gift for your children. As the youngest of two girls myself (we’re also 2 years apart in age, I’m 18, Talitha has just turned 21), this will be much appreciated by them in years to come, I guarantee it. Morgan looks so much like my big sister did all those years ago!

Thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂

Thanks for the compliments. So I am dying to know, being that close in age, are you and your sister friends or enemies? Did it vary with your age and life stage?

She’s my best friend, we’re inseparably close! She moved away 2 years ago to go to university, but she only lives about 45 mins away so I still see her a lot. And guess what? We’re getting a place together next year when I go to uni!! We’re both really excited about that. 🙂
Thinking back, we used to have lots of arguments over silly things over the years, but we’ve always been very close. We’re both very different though, we have completely different hobbies, interests and styles. Maybe that makes us closer, because we learn a lot from each other..

We went through one especially difficult time, when she was at that ‘growing up’ stage, and I still wanted her to play with me. She separated herself off from me, and I became the annoying little sister. But it was just a phase. 🙂
